Bampton and Beyond
Bampton’s historically strategic location causes it to benefit from a surprisingly good infrastructure of shops, pubs and restaurants. There are numerous footpaths and bridleways (many are old packhorse trails) in and around Bampton that give magnificent views of the surrounding Devon countryside.
Car hire is recommended though not essential as there are regular bus services to Tiverton, Taunton and beyond.
